Tim Wix is the Assistant Director and Percussion Educator at West Jessamine High School in Nicholasville, Kentucky. His responsibilities include percussion ensemble, percussion methods class, marching percussion, and private lessons. In the past worked for several bands around the state of Kentucky, including North Laurel High School, Central Hardin High School, Mercer County High School, and Meade County High School, with several ensembles receiving awards in KMEA, BOA, and Tri-State Circuit. Tim is also an active marching percussion arranger and designer.

Tim is a graduate of the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, KY, where he studied under James R. Corcoran Jr. While at the Cumberlands, Tim was principal percussionist with the University concert band, and section leader of the marching drumline. He was a participant with the Kentucky All-Collegiate Percussion Ensemble, and the Kentucky Intercollegiate Concert Band during these years. Tim is current member of the percussion section of the Lexington Brass Band.
