Tony Lemonds is a percussion educator, composer, and designer whose career has spanned over 15 years in the marching arts. His performance background includes time with the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, Phantom Regiment, and Music City Mystique—experiences that shaped his creative voice and deepened his passion for the activity.

After his performance years, Tony transitioned into teaching, arranging, and design. He has taught extensively in Tennessee and Georgia, while also composing and arranging for ensembles in Texas, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Maryland. During his time in the greater North Atlanta area, he served as Front Ensemble Coordinator for Palmetto Percussion and worked with Atlanta Quest as both a sound designer and front ensemble technician. He also contributed to several of the region’s leading scholastic programs, including South Forsyth, North Forsyth, Lambert, and Forsyth Central High School. Tony has contributed in various capacities with groups such as The Cadets, Spirit of Atlanta, and Santa Clara Vanguard.

Now based in the greater Indianapolis area, Tony continues to expand his influence as an educator and writer. He runs a thriving private lesson studio and remains active as a composer and arranger for ensembles across the country. His work has been part of numerous competitive successes—including multiple state championships—most recently highlighted by a program earning the Indiana Percussion Association State Championship in Scholastic A. Beyond his educational work, Tony is also developing solo projects inspired by film and media, further establishing his identity as both an artist and innovator in the field.

Tony is honored and excited to officially join the Innovative Percussion family and looks forward to contributing to its tradition of excellence.
