Geoff Watkins is an active percussion educator living in Nashville, Tennessee. Originally from Norwalk, Connecticut, Geoff’s performance career began in 2006 with the Connecticut Hurricanes Drum and Bugle Corps. Afterward, he went on to perform with The Blue Stars from LaCrosse, Wisconsin and the Bluecoats from Canton, Ohio. Geoff was also a member of the 7-time world champion percussion ensemble, Music City Mystique, helping them achieve their most recent title in 2011.
His instructional experience includes such groups as Norwalk High School, Stamford High School, Trumbull High School, Fred J. Page High School, Independence High School, and most recently Station Camp High School in Gallatin, Tennessee. In 2013, Geoff re-joined the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps as a part of a brand new percussion staff and is returning for his third year with the ensemble in 2015. In 2014, he became part of the Music City Mystique battery staff where he is currently a bass drum technician.
Geoff received his Bachelor of Science from Middle Tennessee State University with a major in Psychology and a double minor in Philosophy and Behavioral Neuroscience.
