Meagan Hills
Music City Mystique, & Spring Hill Middle School
Meagan Hills is currently the band director at Spring Hill Middle School in Columbia, Tennessee. She is known for her passion for education and performing. She has been the front ensemble instructor for Music City Mystique since 2006. Meagan is also known for her extensive work with high school front ensembles in the Middle Tennessee Area, which her jobs including instructing, composing, arranging, and private lessons.
She grew up in Colorado and attended the University of Northern Colorado, then moving to East Tennessee State University, and she graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008. Here instructors have included Lalo Davila, Andy Smith, Randy Sanderbeck, Gray Barrier, Erik Johnson, Tom Rarick, and Mike Nevin.
Meagan's performing experience in the outdoor marching activity stems from her start with the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps in 2001 and 2002, then moving to the Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps in 2004. In her time in the outdoor marching she also fell in love with the indoor activity as it has grown over the years. She marched with the Blue Knights in 1999 and 2001 and with Music City Mystique from 2002-2005.
She is now living in Lawrenceburg, TN, and enjoys spending her free time with her dogs Coda and Nemo.
